As a personal injury lawyer and serious accident attorney in Austin, Texas, I know there is often confusion regarding these types of cases. At the Todd Law Firm we do not rely on a high volume of personal injury cases and we don't handle every type of case. We don't want to. We don't need to.

My name is David Todd and I am a personal injury attorney in Austin, Texas. Since 1989 I have helped Texas personal injury accident victims recover for their injuries.  I truly enjoy helping those injured by the negligence of others to recover their lives. At the Todd Law Firm, we accept a limited number of serious injury cases every year out of the many people who ask us to represent them. We do not operate a "high volume, take anything that comes through the door" type of personal injury practice. We give personal attention to the few cases we do accept. 

I personally negotiate with the insurers. I personally try the cases that go to court. Taking a select few of the personal injury accident cases that come through our door allows us to spend more time on each case and, we believe, obtain better results.

Just because you have been in an injury accident does not always mean you need an attorney. If we believe you are better off handling the case yourself, we will tell you so. Also, if we believe you have a claim that you cannot win, we will tell you that, too.

However, if you have a personal injury claim that passes our standards for acceptance, your case will receive my personal attention. I will aggressively represent you, keep you informed on the status of your case and give you honest advice as to whether you should settle your case or take it to trial.

Before we do any work in your case, we will explain all fees and costs, and the agreement will be spelled out in writing so there are no misunderstandings, and so you can ask any questions you may have. If you choose to hire us and if we choose to accept your case, we work with you as a team to obtain the best possible results for you. Also, if we accept your case and eventually receive an offer of settlement, we will explain before you accept the offer exactly how the money would be divided, so you can make an informed decision regarding whether or not to settle your claim.

Why should you hire us?

Unlike many personal injury firms, we do not accept and try to manage hundreds of cases of the time. We carefully select a few cases and then work hard to maximize their value. 

Many accident attorneys who advertise for personal injury work have so many cases that none of the cases receive their personal attention. And some attorneys never take cases to trial. If the case cannot be settled with the insurance company, these personal injury attorneys try to refer the case out to be tried by someone else. It is important that you ask questions and understand your attorney's approach to your case before you make the decision to hire them.

We decline many personal injury accident cases each year in order to devote our time and efforts to a select few good cases. By accepting only a few carefully chosen personal injury cases, we are able to give these accident cases our personal attention. If we do not accept your case, we will be glad to provide you information and refer you to another attorney who may be able to help you.

We concentrate our efforts on a few legitimate personal injury cases, and work hard to obtain their full value. That way, we are able to focus on getting the best results for our clients.
